What a Ride!

What a Ride!

While celebrating Valentine's Day over a long weekend in Santa Fe, Terri and I became acquainted with Lori Faye's work. We were drawn to her artistic style and use of vivid color. Lori Faye and I entered into a dialog via email that after a summer hiatus culminated in our decision to commission a painting of our daughter Vivian and our two Boston Terriers, Harley and Skippy. It should be noted that incorporating Vivian was a bit of a twist for her something uncommon for Lori Faye's work.

Terri had an idea that we ultimately settled upon: to have the three subjects riding on my Harley Fat Boy (she has the Fischer Price miniature version). We asked Lori Faye to incorporate some of our tomboy's favorite things in addition to motorcycles and her dogs: a church, the Blue Angels, and the American Flag (in honor of our soldiers).

Lori Faye exhibited understanding and patience in accommodating our vision for this painting she has the many emails to evidence these attributes that also chronicle our journey we are quite pleased with our destination: 'What a Ride!'
